ROCK HILL — Police on Wednesday arrested a 20-year-old Rock Hill man in connection with a November shootout that left one man in the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Daquece Agurs, of 978 Sylvia Circle, is charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to Rock Hill arrest records.
On Nov. 21, two women told police that two men were involved in a shootout in front of a Maple Street house. As police canvassed the neighborhood, searching for witnesses and suspects, they received a call that Kenneth McMullen, 25, was at Piedmont Medical Center suffering from a gunshot wound in his leg. McMullen said he was walking his dog when gunfire erupted, a Rock Hill police report says.
Officers spoke with several witnesses and family members, eventually identifying several suspects. Its unclear if more arrests have been made.
