Fort Mill officials plan to offer the city manager’s position to the current Tega Cay city manager, Dennis Pieper.

The town council interviewed Pieper, according to a news release from Fort Mill issued Friday afternoon. Mayor Danny Funderburk has discussed possible contract terms with Pieper, and the Fort Mill council is expected to discuss the contract Monday.

The news release says Funderburk expects to present a formal contract offer to Pieper.

Pieper would replace David Hudspeth, who is scheduled to retire Feb. 2. No start date has been established for Pieper, according to Fort Mill.
