LANCASTER — Three people are charged in connection with a string of Lancaster County larcenies and burglaries after officials say they broke into several cars and homes, stealing items ranging from televisions to firearms.
Both Joel Brandon Scott, 31, of 1317 Memorial Drive in Lancaster and Joshua Matthew Thurman, 27, of 1348 Memorial Drive in Lancaster are held at the Lancaster County Detention Center. Scott and Thurman both face six counts of damaging or tampering with a vehicle, one count of breaking into a motor vehicle, three counts of first-degree burglary and two counts of second-degree burglary each, according to a Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Amber Leigh Airington, 20, of 1121 Chesterfield Ave., is charged with breaking into a motor vehicle, two counts of second-degree burglary and two counts of first-degree burglary, the release states. She’s already been released on a $35,000 bond.
Between Nov. 27 and Sunday, deputies say the three broke into several homes and cars, stealing televisions, firearms, cash, cell phones, jewelry and other personal items, the releases states. They broke into cars on Boxcar Road, Wrenwood Drive, Standing Timber Road, Omni Court and Havenwood Drive. They broke into homes on Monroe Highway, West Rebound Road, Country Club Drive, JB Denton Road and Pacer Drive.
A joint Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office and Lancaster Police Department investigation is ongoing. Additional charges are expected, the report states.
