YORK — A York man was arrested Monday after police say he raped a young girl inside his home.

Arnett Gedon Gardner, 47, is charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor, according to a York police report. He is held at the York County Detention Center without bond.

The girl’s aunt called police Monday after the girl called her about the rape, the report states. Gardner knows the mother of the girl.

The girl, 11, was initially hesitant to talk with police, said York Police Lt. Rich Caddell. She later spoke with a sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) and corroborated details of Gardner's assault against her.
