Mobley

— Deputies on Sunday arrested a Chester man they say choked and head butted his ex-girlfriend while violating a restraining order filed by another woman.

William Albert Mobley III, 21, of 637 Sweeney St., is still held at the Chester County Detention Center on a $40,000 bond from General Sessions court and a more than $11,000 bond for five charges in magistrate’s court. His charges include criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, two counts of malicious injury to animals, person or property, two counts of third-degree assault and a battery and one count of violating a restraining order.

According to a Chester County Sheriff’s report, Mobley went to his ex-girlfriend’s home and accused her of speaking with another man. The 21-year-old woman, who has two children with Mobley, denied the accusations and, to prove it, handed him her cell phone.

That’s when Mobley slammed the phone to the ground, grabbed the woman and began choking her, the report states. He then head butted her before punching her in the throat. The woman said she lost consciousness for a few minutes after the assault. She received treatment at the Chester Regional Medical Center.

Deputies spoke with another woman who lives at the home. The woman, whose age wasn’t listed on the report, said she filed a restraining order against Mobley. She showed police a copy of her order, which was signed by a county magistrate.

While police were still on scene, Mobley called the woman several times, threatening to harm her and his ex-girlfriend, the report states. Deputies issued warrants for Mobley and arrested him.
