ROCK HILL — Police say a Rock Hill woman stabbed her drunken husband Tuesday after he argued with their daughter and, in his stupor, broke several items and dumped trash throughout the house.
Carol Renee Barber-Houze, 43, is charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, according to a Rock Hill police report.
Police were called to a South Confederate Avenue home sometime after 9:30 p.m. Barber-Houze said she called police after she and her husband, 47, argued and she stabbed him, the report states. She said she placed the knife in the kitchen before the police arrived.
After arresting her, police spoke with Barber-Houze’s daughter, 20, who said she and her intoxicated father had been arguing, the report states. Amid the argument, the man wreaked havoc throughout the home.
The daughter called her mother, Barber-Houze, asking her to come home. When Barber-Houze arrived, she began arguing with her husband on the front lawn, where she stabbed him.
Police noticed drops of blood throughout the house and saw that his shirt and left pants leg were covered in blood.
