ROCK HILL — Police arrested a man they say walked into a Rock Hill Chinese restaurant Wednesday night and held the owner and his daughter at gunpoint before fleeing with all the money in the cash register.
Rodrick Alexander Jefferson, 21, of 1683 Davenport Court, is charged with armed robbery, according to a Rock Hill police report.
Sometime after 9 p.m., officers were called to the Big Wok II restaurant on Mount Gallant Road. They spoke with the 42-year-old owner and his 21-year-old daughter, both of whom said the robber — wearing a black hoodie and a red bandana — walked into the restaurant through the back and pointed a black pistol at the owner, saying, “Where’s the money and where’s the safe?”
The owner gave the robber $383 from the cash register and he ran out the back door, the report states.
Officers, forensic detectives and a K9 unit tracked Jefferson, eventually finding him at his Davenport Court house. They arrested him and found the bag of money, along with his pistol.
