A worker at the Cherry Road Auto Zone in Rock Hill is accused of stealing $4,000 from the store.
David Eric Stephenson, 42, of Rock Hill was charged Wednesday with breach of trust with fraudulent intent, according to Rock Hill police records.
The stores loss prevention manager told police he investigated several unusual return logs. After reviewing surveillance video, he accused Stephenson of creating false returns and pocketing the money, according to a police report.
Stephenson provided the manager with a statement admitting to stealing $4,000 in cash over 18 months. Stephenson also confessed to officers, according to the report.
