Woman looking for cellphone vents anger at Rock Hill store

Published: January 4, 2013

A woman who couldn’t find her cellphone took her frustration out at a Rock Hill convenience store, punching a security screen and damaging an employee’s car, according to a police report.

The woman walked in to Bob’s Food Mart off Main Street just after midnight on Thursday, looking for a cell phone she thought she left at the store.

An employee working behind the counter told police that the woman was cursing while searching the store, and he told her to shut up.

“She became enraged, punched the safety screen and cracked it,” the police report states.

On her way out, she threw a bracelet at the employee’s car, which dented the driver’s side door.

The incident was captured by the store’s security camera.
