ROCK HILL — Police have issued warrants for a 30-year-old woman who authorities say drove her car into a column in front of Nishie G’s restaurant Monday night.
Police were called to the Nishie G’s cafe on Mount Gallant Road sometime after 8 p.m. They spoke with a 19-year-old restaurant employee who said the woman was arguing inside the cafe with her boyfriend. The two continued arguing until they rushed out of the restaurant, according to a Rock Hill police report.
The man and woman failed to pay their bill and the employee followed them into the parking lot. She watched as the woman, who lives in Catawba, got into her silver 1999 Ford Taurus and drove it into one of the columns that supports the building’s overhang, the report states.
She then fled the scene, police say. Officers charged the woman with reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident. Officials estimate that the accident caused $2,000 in damage.
