— A Texas man wanted for violating his parole was found in Rock Hill after police say he was selling magazine subscriptions in front of Dick’s Sporting Goods Monday.

Police arrested Brandon Lee Arboleda, 22, of Houston, Texas, after receiving calls about two suspicious men asking people for money at the Legacy at Manchester Village apartments, according to a Rock Hill Police report. Officers found the men in front of the Dick’s Sporting Goods store.

Arboleda told police that he and the other man were trying to sell magazine subscriptions. Police asked for their IDs and then checked their names in the National Crime Information Center database. There, police found that Arboleda was wanted by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice’s parole division for a parole violation stemming from a domestic violence incident, the report states.

His sentence was up to two years, the report states. Arboleda is held as a fugitive at the York County Detention Center awaiting extradition. The report doesn’t indicate that the other man was arrested.
