ROCK HILL — A fire this morning in the kitchen at 623 Lige St. in southern Rock Hill was contained without any injuries, said Steve Rogers, Rock Hill Fire Department Battalion Chief.
Lige Street between Saluda Street and Russell Street just north of Heckle Boulevard re-opened to traffic around 9:45 a.m. after two fire crews put out the fire, then worked to try and rid the house of smoke.
