With jockey Ramon Dominguez hospitalized after suffering a fractured skull, trainer Graham Motion and owner Team Valor International have named Joel Rosario as Animal Kingdom's jockey.

Rosario will be aboard the 2011 Kentucky Derby winner in the $300,000 Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap on Saturday, Feb. 9. Animal Kingdom was ridden by Rafael Bejarano to a runner-up finish behind Horse of the Year Wise Dan last November in the Breeders' Cup Mile. Dominguez was set to take over riding the 5-year-old this year.

Animal Kingdom has been working out at Palm Meadows Training Center for his 2013 debut.
