Man uses grocery store card to break in friend’s home

Published: January 26, 2013

A 28-year-old York man returned home after work Thursday night to find someone had stolen seven of his coats and three frozen dinners from his fridge, according to a York County Sheriff's Office report.

The culprit, police later found out, was the man’s friend.

The homeowner found a Bi-Lo bonus card stuck in his door frame which appeared to be the way his friend broke in, the report states.

A manager from a Bi-Lo grocery store helped police identify the bonus card’s owner.

After learning that the card used to pry his door open belonged to his friend, the home owner decided not to press charges.
