BBs shatter windows at vacant Rock Hill home

Published: January 29, 2013

— Someone fired BBs into several windows of a vacant home on Armstrong Court in Rock Hill.

A worker noticed the damage Monday morning and called police. He said the home was fine Friday when he left, according to a Rock Hill police report.

Officers checked for signs of a burglary, but nothing was stolen. They did notice the back storm door was also shattered.

The homeowner believed the empty home was being used as a crack house by local neighbors, according to the report. He told police the damage may be retaliation for securing the home.

A neighbor said she noticed several juveniles in the area playing with a BB gun.

The damage was estimated at $800.
