In response to Diane Rudolph’s ranting in “To the contrary”: Ms. Rudolph, if King Obama gets everything he wants, the federal government would take over everything in our lives.

I know that if that occurs, we, the people, will take up arms against such tyranny. Taking up arms against tyranny is not treason! Contrary to George Washington, Obama would, if possible, declare himself king.

I guess you have not heard about the extreme decrease in our military force either. Not very well informed are you. You talk about our military as if it is some foreign force. Our military are “we, the people.”

Should Obama have his way, he would rewrite the Constitution to suit his extreme agenda. He may not need to do that since we all will probably be speaking Chinese before he leaves office.

Thanks to your father for giving us 37 years of service in the Army, but I am sure that he would be crying if he read Your ranting. I know that he would be ashamed of your lack of knowledge and lack of respect for law-abiding Americans.

Only a liberal like Ms. Rudolph would think that a semi-automatic weapon is more dangerous than a revolver. A large number of Americans can shoot a revolver just as fast as a semi-automatic rifle. It is not normal for anyone to think that people who own semi-automatic weapons want to take up arms against the government.

People who think like that are liberals who only care about their own twisted agenda. And, by the way, I don’t know about you but I have never been employed by a poor man or woman. Without those nasty rich people, I guess we will all have to work for and be dependent on the federal government.

How do you think that would work out for us? The federal government would screw up a one car funeral.

Ms. Rudolph, I am a 71-year-old Marine who is very sane and take extreme offence to your calling me and my fellow patriotic American friends idiots. Did you serve America in the military or have you done anything great for America?

I seriously doubt that you have done any of the things or made any of the great sacrifices that our brave men and women have done in service to our country. So many have fought and died so that we can remain free and keep the rights given to us under the Constitution.

Ms. Rudolph, I think you should look in your mirror to see the idiot!
