In response to “Get the facts straight on Newtown shooting,” Austin G. Abercrombie admonishes Diane Rudolph’s “Gun nuts misunderstand meaning of the Constitution” by inferring the gun was not an “assault” rifle, as if such nitpicking makes any difference at all.

Would his pompous snippet to The Herald have the same wording if the shooter had used an illegal automatic weapon instead of a legal semiautomatic one with large capacity magazines?
