The Rock Hill School District Foundation is planning a gala to raise money for more technology in local classes.
The organization, which supports programs and initiatives of Rock Hill schools, announced on Tuesday plans for a Hi-Tech Gala fundraiser to be held March 5 at the Richardson Ballroom at the DiGiorgio Campus Center at Winthrop.
Comporium, Piedmont Medical Center, Williams & Fudge and Allen Tate are premier sponsors for the event, which has raised more than $125,000 so far.
The keynote speaker will be Dr. Mark Edwards, superintendent of Mooresville Graded School District and the pioneer of 1 to 1 computing.
