The Rev. Joey Deese has been called as senior pastor at Oakdale Baptist Church in Rock Hill.
Deese came to Oakdale in 2007 as youth/associate pastor. He was ordained at Lee Park Baptist Church in Monroe, N.C., where he served as youth pastor before to coming to Rock Hill.
A graduate of Liberty University, Deese received a master’s degree in religion from Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary where, he will complete his master of divinity degree, with a cognate in pastoral ministries in the summer.
Deese and his wife, Kasie Bowers Deese, have been married for seven years and live in Rock Hill.
She is a graduate of Winthrop University and earned a master’s degree in Christian leadership from Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary, where she is working toward a master’s degree in education.
She has served as children’s director at Oakdale since 2007, blending a passion for children and music in her ministry.
