Police nabbed a Valentine’s Day jewelry thief at Sears Thursday afternoon after a store security employee at the Rock Hill store watched the man conceal three sterling silver bracelets in his pocket and leave without paying, according to a Rock Hill police report.

The 22-year-old Rock Hill man told police he “was trying to get a Valentine’s Day gift for some small girls,” according to the report.

Officers arrested the thief and returned the bracelets to the store.
