COLUMBIA, S.C. — A man who hanged himself Friday in a Richland County court facility has been identified.

Robin O. Mock, 50, hanged himself in a cell at the traffic court facility, at 1400 Huger St. in downtown Columbia, county coroner Gary Watts said Saturday. Mock had no known address, Watts said.

He died at Palmetto Health Richland hospital.

The man, arrested earlier for disorderly conduct, fashioned a noose from his pants, Watts said.

Officers with the State Law Enforcement Division are investigating.
