GASTONIA, N.C. — Womens panties are apparently a popular item with thieves at Victoria's Secret in Gastonia County.
Gastonia police say someone stole thousands of dollars worth of womens underwear Saturday night from a Victorias Secret store -- the second time in four days that the store was victimized.
An employee of the Victorias Secret in the Westfield Eastridge Mall told police that someone took womens underpants between 6:45 and 7:05 p.m. Police say 168 pairs of underwear were taken, with a value of $2,100.
No arrests have been announced in the case.
Last Tuesday, a Victorias Secret employee at the Eastridge Mall store said someone took $2,500 worth of womens underwear.
