Mulvaney preaching revisionist history

Published: February 25, 2013

A recent Herald headline read, “Mulvaney: Rancor Obama’s fault.” Mr. Mulvaney is engaging in revisionist history. He must not be allowed to get away with this.

It’s the “pot calling the kettle black” in the grossest way. Mr. Mulvaney rode into office on the coattails of Sen. Jim DeMint and a rancor-filled tea party.

We saw this kind of rhetoric in Europe in the early 1930s where outlandish views supported the rising Third Reich. That ill-fated party preached that black was white, right was wrong, good was bad and down was up until they believed it themselves.

Mr. Mulvaney should recall the first 10 days of the Obama administration when his party announced its intentions to disrupt everything proposed by the new president. Go read your recent history, Mr. Mulvaney.
