Report: Teen sold Adderall pills at Clover High

Published: March 1, 2013

— A second sale of prescription pills in the past week at Clover High School has led to a fourth student’s arrest, police say.

The York County Sheriff’s Office arrested three teens last Friday accused of making plans to deal drugs at the school. Then, on Wednesday, officials arrested a 17-year-old male student accused of selling two Adderall pills for $5 to a female student, according to police reports.

The student’s father met with police and told a deputy that his son was selling one of his younger siblings’ prescription pills, according to the report. Adderall is used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and narcolepsy.

School administrators told police they found text messages arranging the sale of pills on the student’s phone.

The 17-year-old was charged with possession of drugs with intent to distribute.

The girl who allegedly bought the pills was not arrested and told police she flushed the drugs down the toilet.
