Published: March 4, 2013

— A Kohl's shoplifter locked herself out of her vehicle and then tried to use a stolen barbecue fork to open the car door before police arrested her Sunday evening, according to a Rock Hill police report.

Police arrived before the woman could jimmy the door open. She admitted the barbecue fork was stolen from Kohl's, as well as three pairs of socks. Police searched her purse and found two shirts stolen from nearby Plato's Closet as well as 19 pills of Xanax and one pill of Suboxone, the report stated.

At jail, she admitted the bluejeans under her sweat pants were also stolen.

Nicole Showers, 33, of Richburg was arrested on both drug and shoplifting charges.
