Gaston’s bat helps Bruins blast past Trojans

The Lancaster Bruins broke open a tie game with six runs in the fifth inning and went on to beat Northwestern 12-4 Thursday night in Lancaster.

Katy Ghent picked up the win for Lancaster. Elizabeth Gaston led Lancaster’s 11-hit attack with a pair of home runs and six runs batted in.

Kori Wancheck led Northwestern’s attack with a home run and four runs batted in.

The match was not decided until Landon Bagley and Ethan Start teamed up to win the No. 3 doubles for the Indians by a score of 8-3.
