Wesley M. Rash’s letter asks for people not to compare “selfish and greedy millionaire Republicans” to “compassionate and caring millionaire Democrats.” He states that these rich Republicans have no idea what it's like to be poor or to struggle.
Mr. Rash, how are you so sure the millionaire Democrats you support know what it's like to struggle? Democrat or Republican doesn't matter, any time the Federal Reserve prints more money everyone suffers. Any time the government spends a dollar, that dollar has to be raised through a tax, which takes money away from hard-working people.
Inflation hits everyone, and the poor suffer the worst. It’s ignorance to claim one party of rich people is more compassionate than another just because you prefer their platform. “Economics in One Lesson” by Henry Hazlitt would be a great start for someone new to politics like yourself. Reading it, though, would require critical thinking on your part and not just shamelessly toeing your party line.
