— A Rock Hill Kmart employee is accused of stealing $400 worth of clothes and action figures from the store on Friday, police say.

Officers arrested Natalie Renee Karnilowicz, 38, after the store’s loss prevention manager saw Karnilowicz put clothes and action figures in her bag without paying for them, according to a Rock Hill Police report. The manager said Karnilowicz works in the shipping and receiving department.

When the manager confronted Karnilocwicz, the employee filled out a written statement admitting to stealing the items, the report states. She also admitted that she had stolen from Kmart before, but this was the first time she had been caught.

Karnilowicz is charged with shoplifting. She was released from jail Friday on a $1,000 bond.
