Rock Hill utilities gets national recognition for reliability

March 26, 2013

For the third time, the American Public Power Association has named the city of Rock Hill a “Reliable Public Power Provider” — a designation given to 90 of the more than 2,000 utility providers around the nation.

The association recognizes public power utilities that demonstrate proficiency in four key disciplines: reliability, safety, workforce development and system improvement.

Rock Hill’s utility service Director Scott Motsinger says the award means a lot to his staff.

“It’s an honor to be recognized on a national level for the work we are doing here locally in Rock Hill,” he said.
