— A Rock Hill man was shot in the thigh during a shooting that scattered club goers and left shell casings in two parking lots at the Infiniti nightclub early Sunday.

Police were called to the East Main Street club around 1:50 a.m. after receiving reports that shots had been fired, according to a Rock Hill Police report. When they arrived, they found a large crowd outside the club.

Officers spoke with club security guards, who said the shooting broke out in the parking lots at the front and back part of the club, the report states. Officers found several 9mm shell casings in both parking lots and learned that a shooting victim had been taken to Piedmont Medical Center.

At the hospital, police met with 28-year-old Robert Sanders, who said that he and his cousin dropped to the ground for cover when the shots began to go off in a parking lot, the report states. Sanders realized that he had been shot in the right thigh; his cousin took him to the hospital.

Sanders said he doesn’t believe he was intentionally targeted during the shooting, the report states.
