The York County Culture and Heritage Commission and the Hermon Presbyterian Church dedicated a historical marker Wednesday at the site of the church’s original building on Dave Lyle Boulevard. Hermon Presbyterian Church was established in 1869 and is the oldest black church in Rock Hill. The original church was built between 1901 and 1903 by members of the congregation.
