— A Chester County man was arrested and another is wanted in connection with a string of nine burglaries, deputies say.

Deputies last week arrested Kristopher Ryan Woods, 33, of 53 E. White St. in Chester, and charged him with nine counts of burglary and larceny, said Maj. Mary Anne Tolbert with the Chester County Sheriff’s Office. He is also charged with one count of receiving stolen goods.

Police had been investigating the burglaries at least since January, when homeowners reported that someone broke into their homes during the night and stole several items, including chainsaws and power tools, Tolbert said.

Investigators tracked down some of the stolen items, leading them to Woods, she said. Investigators are still searching for Jason Scott Morton, 29, of 529 Fourth St., who is also accused in connection with the burglaries.

Woods is held in the Chester County Detention Center without bond.
