Boys JV Soccer

South Pointe won the Irmo JV Tournament by defeating West Florence in the championship game over the weekend.

The JV Stallions opened the tournament on Saturday by playing Hammond to a 1-1 tie. They followed that with a 3-2 win over Lugoff-Elgin, despite the fact that they played with their third keeper because of injuries.

South Pointe faced Lugoff-Elgin again on Sunday and won in overtime on penalty kicks. That sent the Stallions against West Florence, where Will Brandon scored twice to key the win. Lane Pendergrass was named the tournament MVP.
