Two police officers found several drugs, including a “large amount” of marijuana floating in a toilet, at a Rock Hill motel late Thursday night after being tipped off that a man was selling drugs from his room, according to a police report.

Just after 11 p.m., Rock Hill police responded to 952 Riverview Road and smelled marijuana coming from room 417, the report states.

The address on the police report corresponds with a listed address for Motel 6 on Riverview Road.

The motel’s manager let officers inside the room where they found “fresh marijuana shake on the nightstand” but no one was in the room at the time, the report states.

Officers asked the manager to call them back when the man renting the room returned.

Less than an hour later, police say Brandon Rashad Golden, 28, of Rock Hill, returned to the motel.

When police knocked on the door, they could hear someone running around the room and a female inside screamed, according to the report.

Once inside the room, officer found marijuana in a trash can, on a table and in the toilet, the report states.

Three and a half Oxycodone pills were also found, along with a digital scale under the bed, according to the report.

The woman with Golden in the room was not charged.

Police charged Golden with possession of Oxycodone and possession with intent to distribute marijuana, the report states.
