Record: 19-1-1

Route to third round: The Trojans thumped rival Rock Hill 9-2 in the first round, before besting Riverside 2-1 in overtime on Thursday


Coach: Phil Savitz

Record: 14-8

Route to third round: Irmo beat South Pointe in the first round of the state tournament, then squeaked past Mauldin on Thursday night on penalty kicks

Nation Ford at J.L. Mann 6 p.m.


Coach: Elton Ramey

Record: 13-5-1

Route to third round: Nation Ford won its first ever boys’ soccer postseason games this week, upsetting Blythewood and Dorman in the first and second rounds, both by 1-0 scores


Coach: William Hosea

Record: 19-1

Route to third round: J.L. Mann thumped Gaffney 4-0 in the first round, before surviving Fort Mill on Thursday night with a goal in the last seconds of regulation for a 2-1 win

What’s next: Winners of the above two games will meet in the Upper State championship on Tuesday

Class AA

Pendleton at Indian Land, 5 p.m.


Coach: Gary Mohr

Record: 16-7-1

Route to third round: Pendleton, the Upper State’s No. 4 seed, dispatched Batesburg-Leesville 3-1 in the first round, before thumping Buford 5-1 in the second


Coach: Adam Cole

Record: 17-4

Route to third round: Indian Land, the No. 1 overall seed in the Upper State half of the bracket and defending state finalist, got a first-round bye before handling Landrum on Thursday night in a 6-1 win

What’s next: The winner faces the winner of Andrew Jackson and Ninety Six in the Upper State Championship on Tuesday

Class A

Lewisville at St. Joseph’s 4 p.m.


Coach: Mark Shelton

Record: 9-5-1

Route to third round: Lewisville got a first-round bye by virtue of being the fifth seed, then whacked Ware Shoals 5-1 on Thursday night to advance to the third round


Coach: Frank Kucinic

Record: 15-3

Route to third round: The Knights are the No. 1 seed in the Upper State half of the bracket and received a first-round bye. They dispatched Brashier Middle College 10-0 in Thursday’s second round

What’s next: Winner faces advances to the Upper State championship to face Christ Church or Greenville Tech on Tuesday
