— Two men traded punches that landed one in the hospital Monday evening after an argument about a video escalated into a brawl at a Rock Hill apartment complex.

Police were sent to Wildwood Springs apartments at about 8:30 p.m. and spoke with two men, 18 and 42, who had reportedly been fighting, according to a Rock Hill police report.

The older man said he arrived home to find the younger man shouting profanities at his wife, 41, in their apartment’s patio area, the report states. When the younger man refused to leave, the older man pointed his finger at him, got in his face and eventually pushed him.

The two men began fighting, falling to the ground and punching each other before witnesses stopped the scuffle, the report states. The man’s wife told police the younger man yelled at her about a video she recorded of his brother.

During the confrontation, the younger man’s mother went outside, grabbed a cell phone and threw it to the ground, causing it to break, the report states. The younger man was taken to Piedmont Medical Center after suffering injuries to his right shoulder.

The older man said he wanted to press charges for the assault and damaged phone, while the younger man said he wanted to press charges for the assault. Because both men were at fault for the fight, police advised them about the courtesy summons process.
