YORK — A North Carolina man is accused of driving under the influence and indecent exposure after police say he urinated outside a York school on Monday afternoon.
At about 2:30 p.m., police were sent to the York Intermediate School on Johnson Road after a school resource officer received reports of a man getting out his gold Kia van and urinating in a grassy area in front of the school, according to a York police report.
Police arrived and found Derrick Sean Hensley, 44, of Gastonia, inside the car, the report states. After ignoring police commands, Hensley opened his car’s door.
Officers found two cans of Bud Light and a can of Four Loko alcohol in the car, the report states. The car, and Hensley, smelled like alcohol, according to the report. Hensley’s speech was slurred and he “swayed back and forth,” nearly falling over while trying to take his wallet out of his back pocket. He later failed a field sobriety test.
Police arrested Hensley, charging him with open container, indecent exposure and driving under the influence, according to his booking report. He is currently held at the York County Detention Center.
