Rossi Craft, director of operations of the Arts Council of York County’s Community Performance Center, is leaving to take the same position at a performing arts center in Tampa, Fla.

Craft brought the Community Performance Center in downtown Rock Hill to life, Arts Council executive director Debra Heintz said. He oversaw the conversion of a former bank branch building into a state-of-the-art performance facility.

He programmed 25 shows with the Main Stage Series, she said, bringing an eclectic mix of world-class entertainment to the 150-seat facility to York County.

“Rossi brought a wealth of knowledge to the table when the Arts Council opened the Community Performance Center,” Heintz said. “He successfully negotiated and delivered a program of quality entertainment for our community for the last four seasons, making new friends and connections for the arts.

“We will always be grateful for his efforts on our behalf and wish him the best as he pursues this new opportunity."

Craft’s final day after four years with the Arts Council will be June 7.
