FORT MILL — A Pineville teenager will appear in court on felony charges next week for allegedly posting a threat on Facebook toward Fort Mills Nation Ford High School earlier this month.
Former Nation Ford student Christian Taylor Webb, 17, is charged with making a false report concerning mass violence on educational property and making a false report bomb report concerning a public building, according to the Mecklenburg County Sheriffs Office website.
Webbs post on the social media site sent Nation Ford on lockdown on May 3, according to a news release sent earlier this month by Fort Mill Police.
Pineville police took Webb into custody, according to the release, and the hour-long security lockdown was lifted after he deemed to not be a threat.
North Carolina authorities arrested Webb on the felony charges a week after the Nation Ford lockdown, according to the sheriffs website.
Webbs court hearing is scheduled for May 31, according to the N.C. court systems website.
