Rock Hill Police have issued arrest warrants for a man, 30, who they say choked his wife and then hit her with a bathroom plunger and metal shower rod.

Officers spoke with the wife at the Piedmont Medical Center on Monday afternoon, according to a Rock Hill police report.

The woman, 28, told police that her common law husband assaulted her, causing swelling on her neck and bruises on her back and shoulders, the report states.

Police plan to arrest the man and charge him with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, according to the report.
