A 13-year-old Rock Hill boy was arrested early Friday after being accused of sexually assaulting his 8-year-old cousin in a home on Eden Terrace, according to a police report.

Police arrested the boy shortly after the incident took place while he was walking on the road after leaving the house, the report states.

The boy is charged with first degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor after police heard from the victim and the victim’s mother that the 13-year-old forced his younger, male cousin into having sex, according to the report.

The victim’s mother caught her nephew acting suspicious in the boy’s room where the two boys shared a bed on Thursday night, she told police.

The 8-year-old told police that sexual acts took place and his older cousin threatened him with a kitchen knife if he told anyone about it, the report states.

The mother told officers she went to check on the boys in her son’s room shortly after they went to bed.

At first, she thought they were just involved in childish mischief, she told police.

A second time, what she saw had escalated, so she called police.

The police call was a reported 911 hang-up but officers went to the home anyway, according to the report.

The 8-year-old boy was taken to a hospital in Charlotte and the 13-year-old was taken to jail, the report states.
