— A Rock Hill teenager told police her boyfriend held her captive, slammed her head into a car windshield and tried to rape her twice on Saturday.

Police were called to a Rolling Green Road, off Finley Road, house at about 4:30 p.m. where a girl, 17, said Kendrick Stevenson, 19, tried to have sex with her against her will, according to a Rock Hill police report. When she tried to leave his house, he physically restrained her, police say, and forced her into a storage shed, where he tried to assault her again.

The girl escaped, she told officers, but Stevenson grabbed her and slammed her against his car, breaking the front windshield with her head, the report states.

He forced her into his house, before she escaped again and called police, the report states. Stevenson told police he did push the girl into the car, but only did so after she slapped him several times. The girl’s shirt was torn and she had a cut on her left arm.

EMS took the girl to Piedmont Medical Center, while a neighbor wrote police a statement, the report states. Police took Stevenson to jail, charging him with assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping and third-degree assault and battery.

He is being held at the York County Detention Center without bond.
