A Rock Hill woman reported credit card fraud to authorities this week after returning home from a June Florida vacation to find more than $5,000 in unexpected charges on her Discover card.

The woman, 65, told the York County Sheriff’s Office that she used the card several times in Georgia on her way to the Sunshine State on June 12.

A week after returning home, her credit card company alerted her to several purchases at a Wal-Mart store in Marietta, Ga., totaling $5,521.99, according to a sheriff’s office report.

The woman told deputies her card was not stolen but she destroyed it and ordered another one.
