Rock Hill and Orangeburg rained out on Friday, hope to play Sunday

July 12, 2013

Rock Hill Post 34 and Orangeburg Post 4 will try again to play Game 4 of their best-of-five first round American Legion baseball playoff series. Thursday night’s contest in Orangeburg was rained out and Friday’s makeup game was a wash too after the area received around three inches of rain in a short span.

Post 4 leads the series 2-1 after thumping Rock Hill 15-5 on Wednesday night. Post 34 team manager Buck Schwing thought the game might be made up on Sunday, but there has been no official word yet. The winner of the series faces Greenville or Gaffney in the second round.
