— An intoxicated Rock Hill woman performed an exotic dance with a lamppost Friday before giving authorities a fake name, according to police.

Officers went to South Cherry Road at about 7:15 p.m. after calls about a woman wearing a green dress and brown belt walking in the area and nearly falling into traffic, according to a Rock Hill police report.

Police found the woman “performing an exotic dance using a street lamppost,” the report states. An officer tried speaking with the woman, who was “sweating profusely.”

The woman gave police a fake name, but correct date of birth, the report states. She would not say why she was dancing on the side of the road and could not provide an exact address. She told officers she had not been drinking, refused to take off her sunglasses and would not provide answer questions about whether she had taken illegal substances.

She was charged with public disorderly conduct and providing false information to police.
