— A York man was arrested Sunday after police say he followed a man, his wife and their children while performing sexual acts with himself in a city park.

Police were sent to the Lincoln Road community park at about 4:15 p.m. after receiving word that a man was exposing himself, according to a York police report. A man, 31, told officers he, his wife and children were in the park when they noticed Demontra Hardy, 20, “playing in his pants” while he sat on a park bench in front of them.

When they decided to move to another area, Hardy followed them, the report states, and started performing sexual acts on himself. Hardy then left the park.

Police found him walking down the street, the report states. Hardy told police he was at the playground on Lincoln Road. Police detained Hardy and escorted him back to the park, where the man identified himself as the man performing sex acts.

Police arrested Hardy, charging him with indecent exposure, police say. He is held at the York County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.

Records with the State Law Enforcement Division show that Hardy has prior convictions for reckless driving, resisting arrest, petty larceny, third-degree assault and battery and entering premises after warning.
