ROCK HILL — A Rock Hill man was arrested after police say he pointed a loaded gun at another driver with his 1-year-old son in the car with him on southbound Interstate 77 near Cherry Road, according to police reports.
Michael Moe, 44, was charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon, pointing a firearm at a person, and possession of a stolen pistol.
Officers stopped Moe after receiving a complaint that a man driving a black BMW had threatened another driver with a gun.
When police searched Moe and his car, they found two guns a loaded Glock in his front shorts pocket and a loaded semi-automatic pistol on the floor of the rear passenger seat.
Also found in the car was Moes 1-year-old son, who was placed in a child seat on the front passenger side, and four additional magazines for both guns.
According to the report, Moe did not have a concealed weapons permit for the Glock and the pistols serial number had been scratched off.
Moe told police he felt threatened when he said another driver, Landon Kinsey, pulled up beside his car and pointed his finger at him, the report states.
Moe then threw several coins at Kinseys vehicle, some of which hit his windshield, before brandishing the Glock while both men were in their respective cars, according to the report.
Moe also told police that at the time of the traffic stop, he was dropping his son off with his wife and before heading to a firing range in Charlotte. Kinsey declined to press charges against Moe.
