Rock Hill police and a local solicitor dropped charges on Aug. 2 against a man accused of robbing a Cherry Road CVS with a gun in July. Jason Lloyd Thatcher, initially accused of the crime, was released from jail after about one month behind bars with his bond set at $500,000. Police said evidence uncovered while Thatcher was in jail led authorities to realize they'd arrested the wrong person.
