ROCK HILL — Someone broke into a Rock Hill pharmacy Wednesday night, ripped the wires from a surveillance camera and got away with more than $1,400 worth of prescription pills and a soda, police say.
Officers went to the South End Pharmacy on Albright Road in response to a burglar alarm and found the front door ajar and pry marks near the lock, according to a Rock Hill police report. The front camera monitor’s wires had been pulled from the wall and a sound box for the alarm had been ripped from the system.
The pharmacy’s owner told police 10 bottles of hydrocodone filled with 500 pills were missing, along with several bottles of Xanax, $400 cash and a soft drink, the report states.
Surveillance video shows a man wearing a black hat, black face mask and black gloves use a crowbar to rip the wires and alarm box from the business walls and ceiling.
