Holloman also had a crucial interception in the last minute of the first half to squelch a Cardinals’ offensive drive deep in the Cowboys’ end.
Phillip Adams, Rock Hill: The former Bearcat continued a strong preseason by making three tackles, one solo, and recording a sack in the Oakland Raiders’ 28-20 loss to New Orleans.
Stephon Gilmore, South Pointe: Gilmore made no tackles in the Buffalo Bills’ 20-16 win over Minnesota, but did defend a pass in limited first half playing time.
Cordarrelle Patterson, Northwestern: Patterson caught two passes for 19 yards and returned a kickoff 22 yards in the Minnesota Vikings’ 20-16 loss to Buffalo.
Johnathan Joseph, Northwestern: Joseph didn’t show up in the boxscore after limited first half action in the Houston Texans’ 24-17 win over Miami.
Benjamin Watson, Northwestern: Watson had no catches in the New Orleans Saints’ 28-20 win over Oakland.
Chris Hope, Rock Hill: Hope made one solo tackle in the Detroit Lions’ 24-6 loss to Cleveland.
Spencer Lanning, York: The former Cougar booted six punts for 276 yards, an average of 46 yards per kick for Cleveland. Lanning’s long was 55 yards in the Browns’ win over Detroit.
Jonathan Meeks, Rock Hill: The rookie registered no tackles for the Buffalo Bills in their win over Minnesota.
Tori Gurley, Rock Hill: Gurley had no catches in the Cleveland Browns’ 24-6 win over Detroit. The former Bearcat was targeted once.
Kamaal McIlwain, Indian Land: McIlwain registered no tackles in the Kansas City Chiefs’ 15-13 loss to San Francisco.
Troy Sanders, Chester: Sanders, who went on to play at Appalachian State, didn’t register any tackles in the Falcons’ 27-23 loss to Baltimore.
Vance Walker, Fort Mill: Walker didn’t suit up for the Oakland Raiders for the second straight preseason game.
